As a person I am intuitive, yet structured. I am quality and delivery focused. A hands-on problem solver with a pragmatic strategic approach. My leadership style is inclusive, yet decisive. I am a Procurement professional who understands the wider business context, and therefore think like a business leader.

Here is an overview of how my passion for Procurement has evolved over the past 25 years.

Mark Blanchard, Lead Associate, Procurement Cube

Mark Blanchard, BSc (Hons), MCIPS, Lead Associate

Mark is an MCIPs qualified procurement professional with extensive experience of leading multi-million pound sourcing and outsourcing projects within highly regulated, complex global blue chip organisations. He now uses this experience to help his clients uplift their procurement capability to maximise business value through their sourcing activities. This includes tutoring procurement staff in current best practice, enabling them to attain globally recognised CIPS professional procurement qualifications, drive the uplift in their organisation’s capability and advance their own careers.

Dennis Stanley, Msc, Lead Associate

Dennis is a purchasing consultant specialising in technology sourcing and procurement coaching. With knowledge and experience gained over three decades in the corporate world of buying and a proven track record of helping FT100 companies (Rolls-Royce, Centrica, Aviva, Astrazeneca and Barclays) deliver shareholder value by developing and leveraging strategic relationships; and ultimately reducing cost.

More recently, Dennis has worked for the procurement consultancy Proxima, where he was engaged in the IT separation programme of a high street bank, the mainframe migration of a major retailer and provided valuable insight and options for a major engineering company on its IT Services integration partner.

A self confessed “improvement junkie”, with more than a passing interest in organisational behaviour and psychology, Dennis has developed a passion for coaching and mentoring. A qualified NLP coach, Dennis provides executive coaching and mentoring for those new to leadership positions and the “hands on” professional buyer. His coaching style is “gently disruptive” and “question based”, with the aim of challenging his clients to dig deep, find solutions or options and raise their self awareness as part of the process

Philip Prout, BA (Hons), MCIPS, Lead Associate

Philip has a track record of delivery across multiple sectors, including financial services, pharmaceuticals, construction and not for profit. With a proven ability to deliver commercial change in challenging environments, Philip believes that the all his activities must be underpinned with a deep understanding of the corporate challenges and opportunities of the client. This understanding ensures a strong contribution to the profitability and success of those he works with.

Key skills include:

  • Procurement delivery and leadership across a broad range of spend categories
  • Senior stakeholder engagement and influence
  • Process design and optimisation
  • Implementing artificial intelligence solutions
  • Design and delivery of sustainable total cost improvement programmes
  • Establishment of startup procurement functions.
